At Li Bai Restaurant [“Li Bai”, “Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant”, “we”] we are committed to respecting and protecting your personal data. This privacy notice sets out how Li Bai collects, uses, shares and protect your personal data when you visit our website or dine in our restaurants in Singapore in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

We collect and use your Personal Data to facilitate reservations; sending you promotions with your consent, honouring dietary preferences; providing consistent and personalized service based on past usage and preferences expressed by the individual; processing payments; managing online purchases; and handling customer requests, enquiries, and complaints.

The personal data we collect includes your name, telephone number, e-mail address, company name, delivery address, as well as service-related information such as credit card information for dining reservations and purchasing items.

You are not obliged to provide your personal data to Li Bai. However, it would not be possible for us to fulfil our contractual duties towards you or facilitate your request or provide the goods and services to you.

We may share your personal data with Sheraton Towers, third-party reservation sites, ordering sites, delivery partners, for the purposes of fulfilling a contract with you, providing customer service, and facilitating your dining experience. In the event where we transfer your personal data outside of Singapore, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.

We may also collect, use, and disclose personal data without consent, pursuant to an exception where it is required or permitted by law, under the exception of PDPA, or when the collection is necessary to respond to a life, medical or safety emergency.

Withdrawing Your Consent

The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent by submitting your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at dpo@libairestaurant.com

If you request to withdraw your consent, we will inform you of the potential consequences and the time required to complete the withdrawal. Such requests will be processed within ten (10) business days or more depending on the complexity of the request. In some cases, not providing the personal data, or withdrawing consent to the use, processing, or disclosure of the personal data, may adversely affect Li Bai’s ability to continue providing our goods or services to you.

We have a documented retention policy that keeps track of the retention schedules of the personal data you provide us, in paper or electronic forms. We will not retain and will securely dispose your personal data when it is no longer needed for any business or legal purposes.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites when making reservation, online purchase whose privacy practices may differ from those of ours. This Privacy Policy only applies to Li Bai website. If you submit personal data, including payment information, to any third-party websites, that personal data is not subject to this Privacy Notice and will be subject to the third party’s privacy practices instead. We therefore encourage you to review the privacy statement of any website you visit. As we cannot control or be responsible for the policies of other sites we may link to, or the use of any data you may share with them, you access these third-party websites at your own risk.

Access and Correction to Your Personal Data

You have the right to access and update your Personal Data at any time. Before we accede to your request, we may first confirm that such request has been made by you personally. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, or within 30 days from the date we receive your request. Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request, depending on their nature and complexity. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.

If you find that the personal data, we hold about you is incorrect you may ask us to correct the data. Where we are satisfied on reasonable grounds that a correction should be made, after verifying your identity, we will correct the data as soon as possible, or within 30 days from the date we receive your request.

 Complaints relating to Personal Data

Complaints relating to Personal Data should be referred to the DPO, who will acknowledged and provide a response within 10 working days. Please include your name and contact information when submitting a complaint. We treat all complaints seriously and confidentially.

Data Breach Notification

In the event a breach of security leading to accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data, we shall promptly assess the impact and once assessed that it is a notifiable data breach, we shall report this breach within 3 calendar days to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). We will notify you when the data breach is likely to result in significant harm to you after our notification to PDPC. We may also notify other relevant regulatory agencies, where required.
