Chinese New Year Festive Takeaway Treasures
The Art of Prosperity: Premium Yusheng Platters
No Chinese New Year celebration is complete without the ceremonial Loh Hei. Li Bai’s 2026 Yusheng collection elevates this beloved tradition with five premium options, each crafted to bring abundance and good fortune to your table. Available in both S & L sizes, we recommend S for 4 to 5 diners, and L for 6 to 10 persons.
Featured Selections:
Smoked Salmon Yusheng Platter (from $80)
Our classic rendition features premium smoked salmon atop a vibrant bed of julienned vegetables, crispy crackers, and plum sauce. The perfect balance of textures and flavours for the traditional toss.
Toro Yusheng Platter (from $118)
For the ultimate indulgence, our Toro Yusheng showcases the prized fatty tuna belly – buttery, melt-in-your-mouth delicacy that symbolises only the richest blessings for the new year.
5-Head South African Abalone Yusheng Platter (from $138)
Representing longevity and wealth, this is the Yusheng for significant milestones and multi-generational gatherings.
Boston Lobster Yusheng Platter (from $168)
Celebrate with sweet, succulent Boston lobster meat – a luxurious centrepiece that promises prosperity with every toss.
Mixed Vegetarian Yusheng Platter (from $88)
Thoughtfully crafted for vegetarian guests without compromising on tradition or flavour, featuring seasonal vegetables.
Fortune Pot (Poon Choy): Layers of Prosperity, Tradition in Every Pot
Exclusive Bundle: Smoked Salmon Yusheng Platter + West Australia Lobster & Abalone Fortune Pot at $648 (U.P.: $678)
This curated pairing combines our beloved Yusheng with our signature Fortune Pot (盆菜 Poon Choy) – a traditional Chinese New Year treasure that’s far more than a meal, it’s a symbol of unity and abundance.
The Fortune Pot is a magnificent layered dish served in a traditional basin or claypot, where premium ingredients are carefully arranged in tiers – each layer revealing new treasures as you dig deeper. Our version features West Australian lobster and abalone, alongside an array of carefully selected ingredients that represent wealth, longevity, and good fortune.
Unlike a soup, the Fortune Pot is designed for communal eating – family and friends gather around one pot, unveiling layers of goodness together. This act of sharing from a single vessel symbolises family unity and the coming together of blessings for the new year. Each ingredient absorbs the rich, flavourful braising liquid at the base, creating an intensely satisfying experience that grows better with every layer.
We also serve Premium Dried Seafood Fortune Pot ($1888) for those who love bountiful seafood bites in every mouthful. This poon choy features Japanese spike sea cucumber, deer tendon and nearly a kilogram of abalone and lobster meat each! Our Fortune Pot feeds up to 6 diners comfortably.
Traditional Delicacies: Sweet Beginnings for a Prosperous Year
Osmanthus Water Chestnut Cake (马蹄糕) $68
Our signature water chestnut cake infused with fragrant osmanthus flowers, offering a delicate sweetness and satisfying bite. It’s both a treat for the palate and a beautiful gift.
Nian Gao with Black Glutinous Rice (黑糯米年糕) $68
“Nian Gao” literally means “higher year” – symbolising growth and advancement. Our version incorporates aromatic black glutinous rice for a deeper, more complex flavour profile that honours tradition while delighting modern tastes. Perfectly sticky, subtly sweet, and endlessly versatile (steam it, pan-fry it, or enjoy it as is).
Imperial Main Courses: Ready-to-Serve Luxury
Hosting at home but want restaurant-quality dishes? Our takeaway main courses bring Li Bai’s culinary excellence directly to your dining table.
Stewed Eight Treasures Sea Cucumber with 6-Head Abalone (八宝海参扣鲍鱼) $488
The dish that announces, “This is a serious celebration.” Eight precious ingredients including premium 6-head abalone and sea cucumber, braised for hours until each element achieves perfect texture. Rich, savoury, and deeply nourishing, it’s the centrepiece that honours elders and impresses guests.
Tilefish with Stuffed Morel Mushrooms & Dried Shrimps & Yam Claypot Rice (马头鱼黑松露羊肚菌沙煲饭) $298 feeds up to six
As we gallop into the Year of the Horse, this signature dish carries special significance. Tilefish in Mandarin is called “马头鱼” (mǎ tóu yú) – literally “horse head fish” – making it the most auspicious seafood choice for 2026.
Our chefs prepare this stunning whole tilefish adorned with luxurious stuffed morel mushrooms and dried shrimps, all served atop fragrant Japanese rice. Infused with aromatic shrimp paste, the rice adds textural contrast to the tender fish and earthy mushrooms, while the black truffle elevates this traditional preparation to new heights of indulgence.
This is more than a dish; it’s an edible blessing for the Year of the Horse, combining fortune (马头鱼), prosperity (black truffle), and abundance (morel mushrooms) in one spectacular presentation.
Buddha Jumps Over the Wall with 5-head Abalone $718 (五头鲍鱼宝鼎佛跳墙) feeds up to six
Legend has it – its aroma was so intoxicating a monk jumped over a monastery wall in hopes of acquiring a taste of this luxurious dish. A Chinese New Year staple, this delicacy needs no introduction. Treat your loved ones to a sumptuous reunion this festive season!
The Grand Finale: Barbecued Suckling Pig Stuffed with Glutinous Rice (烧乳猪酿糯米饭) $438
The ultimate centrepiece for grand celebrations. Our suckling pig is barbecued to crackling perfection – golden, crispy skin giving way to tender, flavourful meat. Stuffed with savoury glutinous rice that absorbs all those incredible juices, this dish commands attention and creates memories.
In Chinese banquet tradition, the whole roasted pig represents completeness and prosperity. Serving this at your Chinese New Year celebration signals abundance and the wholeness of your family’s blessings. The dramatic presentation – brought to your table whole before being served piece by piece – creates a moment that guests will remember long after the festivities end.
